The Merrie Harriers

The Merrie Harriers Bonfire Society

The bonfire Society does not just raise money for a fireworks display; it presents a number of events throughout the year and uses ALL profits to assist local good causes. The society is run by a committee of local volunteers.

Over the years the Bonfire Society has distributed more than £30,000 to local good causes.

In 2005 we supported: the Herstmonceux Luncheon Club,  Herstmonceux Guides, St John Ambulance, Herstmonceux Scouts  and the James House Trust for the care of children with life-threatening illnesses and the Ray Shelden Club (Social activities for and events for local pensioners)

On April 9, 2006 the annual Merrie Harriers Bonfire Society Presentation evening will be held during which cheques will be presented to more deserving local good causes.  To book a table for the presentation evening call or email now!

We rely very much on the generosity of both time and money from our supporters, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts - without you the society would not exist and the local good causes would not benefit.
